Let me show you how to make the best easy dip with these simple steps
Easy Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Recipe
How do you get your toddler and 8-year-old to eat fruit on a sunny lockdown day? You make them this super easy cream cheese dip with their selected fruit of choice. Happy days, they love it. Like they would say no to this delicious creamy dip just like how they never say no to cranberry cream cheese dip. We couldn’t take the picnic out, so we improvised and brought it to our back garden. They also love it as a spread on their lightly toasted bread, biscuits, and crackers, win-win for me. This recipe is healthy provided it is eaten in moderation. I know it would take some discipline. This is what I do, I make a big batch, portion them in airtight containers, and store in the fridge until needed. Then we use it throughout the week. It is a different case when entertaining, this dip is available for all to enjoy with selected seasoned fruits. Consider today’s simple cream cheese dip recipe as the UK version of the US. This dip doesn’t have a cool whip or marshmallow fluff in it, yet it is delicious, not overly sweet, and healthy. Truth be told, I am not a fan of store-bought whipped cream and I have only bought it once in my 30 something odd life and I didn’t even finish a can. I swapped these ingredients for something easily accessible. You would always find cream cheese and yogurt in most grocery stores or supermarkets as we call it here in the UK. This dip is perfect for your next picnic, bbq, potlucks, or as a simple dessert. Related post: homemade sour cream and chive dip.
Ingredients
Cream cheese: full-fat or low-fat cream cheese would work for this recipe Low-fat yogurt: plain or flavored. I used strawberry-flavored yogurt. Brown sugar: I only used this because caster sugar is now gold in stores for now. Swap brown sugar for powdered sugar (icing sugar), honey, maple syrup, or any other sweetener of choice. Vanilla extract: to be honest, I have used salted caramel before so I would say any flavored extract would work for this recipe.

Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese and yogurt together until combined. Then add the brown sugar and vanilla extract together until light, fluffy and creamy. Check for how sweet the dip is and adjust to taste. Cover with a cling film and place in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving. Serve with washed fruits of choice

Tips for making the best cream cheese fruit dip recipe
Make this easy creamy fruit dip recipe keto by swapping the sugar for substitutes like granulated swerve or coconut sugar. Swap the full-fat cream cheese for fat-free yogurt. Do you have any leftovers? Use it as a spread on sandwiches or pancakes provided the consistency of the dip is not too runny. Bring the cream cheese to room temperature or soften at least before whipping to avoid clumping. If you would be using sliced fruits like banana, apples, and pear before serving, squeeze some lemon juice in them to stop them from browning quickly. Make sure all your ingredients are in dates
How to store
This creamy dip would stay in the fridge for up 7 days in an airtight container. This recipe is not suitable for freezing
