What you need for Baked Jerk Salmon Recipe

You will need these few ingredients to make the best and delicious jerk salmon. Salmon fillets or side: skin on or skinless, that said I prefer using skin-on salmon as the skin provides a layer of protection which makes the fish extra moist and prevents it from drying out when cooked. Olive oil: substitute with any other flavorless cooking oil of choice. Jerk seasoning paste: this could be homemade or storebought. Make sure to buy one with the level of heat you can tolerate. More reason why you should make yours as you can control whatever goes into it. Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Baked Jerk Salmon

Preheat oven to 375F/190C spray or rub the bottom of a baking dish or nonstick pan with cooking oil. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels, then arrange it in the prepared baking dish skin side down Brush the fleshy part of the fish with oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Next, evenly spread or rub the jerk seasoning paste on the fish and the sides if you could. (Leave the salmon to come to room temperature and as well marinate in the sauce for about 15 minutes before baking) Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should be around 145F/60C when fully cooked. Squeeze some fresh lime juice over the salmon and serve immediately with your choice of sides. Enjoy! PS: you can place the fish under the broiler for another 3-5 minutes for a caramelized finish if you desire.

Preheat oven to 350F/180C and place the salmon in a baking dish, cover loosely with foil and heat for 10-12 minutes or until heated through. You can also reheat using the microwave, place the salmon on a microwave-safe plate, and heat in 30-second intervals until heated through.

Should I cover salmon when baking

There is no need to cover salmon with foil when baking. That said, the marinade or seasoning used on the fish can make it to burn quickly, in that case, you can cover the baking dish with a foil.

How long to bake salmon at 375

Depending on the thickness of the fillet, it would take about 15-20 minutes to bake salmon at 375F/190C. When done, the internal temperature should be around 145F/60C for fully cooked salmon.
